Amanda’s Top Ten Tuesday – Reasons I Love Jeff Zentner

This week’s topic is Reasons Why I Love [insert your favorite book title, genre, author, etc. here]

“I’ve made books my life because they let me escape this world of cruelty and savagery.”

“I’m glad things end, though. It forces you to love them ferociously while you have them. There’s nothing worth having that doesn’t die.”

Amanda’s Top Ten Tuesday – Authors on Social Media

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week we talk about our top ten with a different topic provided by Jana. This week’s topic is the top ten authors with a fun social media presence.

I have to start with Brigid Kemmerer. She’s the queen of Instagram stories and I love following her.

Christine Lynn Herman is an author I follow on Twitter and I adore all of her writing updates. I always love what she shares.

Similarly, Amanda Foody’s Tweets are usually ones I enjoy.

Jeff Zentner tweets writing stuff but also life stuff and I just genuinely enjoy him as a human being.

I may only understand half his jokes, but Ben Philippe shares some quality tweets.

Rin Chupeco’s tweets are ones I always look forward to. She tweets relatable things for me as a mother but also does fun stuff like horrifying Halloween stories that actually gave me nightmares.

Something I like about authors on social media is when they keep it real about writing. V.E. Schwab succeeds at this. She doesn’t hide the hard parts of being a writer and I appreciate that.

Another mother that tweets about her kids and just really makes me laugh is Kathleen Glasgow. I love her books and I love her Twitter.

Staying with the topic of kids, Scott Reintgen is an author whose book I read for the first time toward the end of 2019, though I’ve followed him for a while.

My final author for this post is Sara Raasch and it’s 10000% for all the cute doggos that she shares.
