What are you currently reading?

Amanda- I’m still working on getting through Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa on my Kindle. I haven’t picked it up since last week, but I’ll probably finish it in the next few days. I’m listening to American Gods by Neil Gaiman as I type this. I’m over halfway through and still somehow have six hours left. I’m also reading Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. I finally picked it up and I’m glad I did because it’s super interesting and I’m only less than fifty pages in.

Antonia- A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas. I cannot stop with this series. I blew through the first two books in a couple days and will probably read this last one just as quickly. I’m so glad Amanda practically threw these books at me.

What did you recently finish reading?

Amanda- I just yesterday finished Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I’m doing a reread of the series so I can finally read the last book that came out this year.

Antonia- I just finished A Court of Mist and Fury. I read this 600-something-page book in about a day. It was amazing. Expect to see my reviews of this series soon.

What do you think you will read next?

Amanda- After I finish Big Little Lies I will probably pick up Glass Sword, the second book in the Red Queen Series. I have quite a few books on my TBR list for this month but I don’t know what order I’m going to read them yet.

Antonia- I’m not sure. I barely started listening to the audiobook for The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg but got distracted by the ACOTAR series. There’s also a couple new books in The Dragon’s Gift: The Druid series by Linsey Hall that I’m excited to read. But I still have a bunch of new books from my haul from Book Outlet that I need to read so it’ll all depend on my mood when I finish my current read.

Thanks for reading! What are your W’s this week?

What are you currently reading?

Amanda-

ebook – Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa. I don’t know why I haven’t been able to fly through this book. It feels like I’ve been reading it forever. I think it’s because it’s full of Japanese mythology which is a topic unfamiliar to me so I’m reading slowly so I don’t miss anything important.
audiobookAmerican Gods by Neil Gaiman. This book has been super hard to get through. It’s such a long audiobook and I actually had to return it and then put another hold on it from my library. I’ve made it about halfway through and I’m making more progress on it later today. It’s interesting but a lot of detail so it requires more of my focus than other audiobooks.
physical book – Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. When the final book in this series came out I knew I was going to have to reread the whole series (I like to reread but I also only remembered a few basic details from this series). I’ve finally made the attempt to start the series reread but I plan to read other things and not binge read these books.

Antonia-

I’m currently reading If I Should Die by Amy Plum. This series has exceeded my expectations and I’m really excited to see how it ends.

What did you recently finish reading?

Amanda-

audiobook – Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson. It was fantastic and my review will be posting sometime in the next few weeks.
physical book – Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow. I just finished reading this last night. I have already written the review and it will also be posted in the next few weeks.

Antonia-

I just finished Until I Die by Amy Plum. I’m really enjoying this series so far. You’ll see a review for this one tomorrow.

What do you think you will read next?

Amanda-

ebook – Meant to be Broken by Brandy Woods Snow. I received this in return for an honest review. I’ve heard good things about it and the description sounds super interesting.
audiobookThe Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. This has been on my TBR list forever so when I saw it was available to borrow from my library’s audiobook collection I made sure to grab it.
physical book – Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. This has been on my TBR list for at least a year and I’m trying to make a conscious effort to knock off some of the books that have been on there for a while.

Antonia-

Next I think I’ll read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. Amanda’s been yelling at me to read this series for forever and I’m excited to finally get around to it.

These are this week’s W’s! What’s your reading update for this week? Let us know your W’s in the comments and thanks for reading!

What are you currently reading?

Amanda- I’m in the middle of an ARC from NetGalley, Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa. I’m reading this one slowly so I don’t miss anything. It’s full of Japanese Mythology and super good. I’m also listening to an audiobook, I Have Lost My Way by Gayle Forman. I never used to be able to read more than one book at a time, but I think because they’re different formats I’m able to do it. I say this because along with the ebook and audiobook I’m reading a physical book that’s from the library that I need to finish today so I can return it on time! Roseblood by A.G. Howard is the library book I’m trying to power through.

Antonia- I’m actually between books right now but I’ll elaborate on that a little more in the next two answers.

What did you recently finish reading?

Amanda- I recently finished reading Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst. Keep an eye out for my review sometime next week! I also just finished listening to Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel which was amazing and I loved everything about it.

Antonia- I just finished The Girl With the Make-Believe Husband by Julia Quinn. It was funny and romantic and ridiculous. I loved it.

What do you think you will read next?

Amanda- I have so many books on my TBR list. The Diviners by Libba Bray that I still haven’t managed to start. Along with the nine books that are on my July TBR list that I know I’m not going to get through.

Antonia- Next I’m thinking either Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg or Wintersong by S Jae-Jones. I’m not sure which one I’m in the mood for yet.

What are you currently reading?

Amanda- For those of you that have followed us for a long time, prepare to be shocked. I’m currently reading (sort of) three different books. I’ve recently discovered that I like audiobooks. So I’m listening to American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I’m also reading an ARC of Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa which I’m trying to read slowly because I love her writing and I don’t ever want it to be over. Last, I’m reading a library book The Diviners by Libba Bray, the last book on my TBR list for the Tome Topple reading challenge.

Antonia- I’m currently reading Inkspell by Cornelia Funke. It’s the second in her Inkworld series. It’s really long (I picked it for our tome topple challenge), but I have a crazy new work schedule and I’ve been sick so I think I’m going to read Crime of Magic by Linsey Hall instead. I hate not being able to post reviews regularly and this is a quick read that will allow me to actually get a review out this week.

What did you recently finish reading?

Amanda- Yesterday while in the car on an eight-hour drive back home I finished Triangles by Ellen Hopkins. I’ll be writing my review for this after I’m done writing and scheduling this post. That should be posted later this week or early next.

Antonia– I recently finished Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. It was the perfect bookworm book and I loved it. You can check out my review here.

What do you think you will read next?

Amanda- I will be reading another library book for sure. Maybe the sequel to The Diviners and maybe something else. I’m not fully committed yet.

Antonia- I’m really not sure what I’ll read next. My giant order from book outlet should be arriving today and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by all the choices. I’ll do a small book haul post soon so you guys can see what I got.

What are you currently reading?

Amanda- I’m currently reading Triangles by Ellen Hopkins. It’s the second book on my Tome Topple list and fulfills the ‘adult novel’ challenge for this readathon. I love anything Ellen Hopkins.

Antonia- Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. I’ve been wanted to read this series for pretty much forever and I’m so happy I finally have. It’s perfect because it’s long enough to count for the Tome Topple reading challenge.

What did you recently finish reading?

Amanda- I recently finished reading Stormcaster by Cinda Williams Chima. Keep an eye out for my review soon. This was my first pick for Tome Topple and I’ve been putting off reading it because the fourth book in the series hasn’t been released yet. This book fulfills the ‘part of a series’ tome challenge for the readathon.

Antonia- I just finished Institute of Magic by Linsey Hall. It’s the first book in Ana’s series which I’ve been looking forward to for awhile now. Check out my review here.

What do you think you will read next?

Amanda- Next I think I’m going to start The Diviners by Libba Bray. It’s the first in a series that I got from the library. All three books in this series qualify for the Tome Topple Readathon and they will be a nice addition to our master review list (we don’t have any reviews listed under the letter B).

Antonia- I’m thinking Inkspell by Cornelia Funke since it also works for Tome Topple.

That’s all for our W’s this week. What are yours?

What are you currently reading?

Amanda – I’m currently reading Overdrive by Dawn Ius. This was a library find. I actually picked this one by going to the section of books with author’s last names starting with I because we don’t have any reviews on our master list under that letter. I mentioned in my library haul post that I’m going to pick one book this way each time I visit the library.

Antonia – I’m currently reading The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan. I blew through the first four books in this series and absolutely can’t wait to see how it ends.

What did you recently finish reading?

Amanda – I finished reading The Plastic Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg over the weekend. Keep an out for my review, it will be posted on Friday.

Antonia – I just finished The House of Hades by Rick Riordan. It was fantastic and you’ll see my review of it soon.

What do you think you will read next?

Amanda – I’m honestly not sure. I have like thirty books that are currently in the mail on their way to me. (If you haven’t heard of Book Outlet you need to look into it now. Books for super cheap.) So I have quite a few to choose from. I will probably try to finish my library books before I get into the new books I ordered. So either Roseblood by A.G. Howard or As I Descended by Robin Talley.

Antonia – I have no idea. You can check out my Top Ten Tuesday post to see my TBR list but I’m really not sure what I’m in the mood for yet.

What are you currently reading?

Amanda – I’m currently reading Flamecaster by Cinda Williams Chima. This is the first book in the Shattered Realms Series, you can see my review here. I’m rereading this book because the third book in this series came out recently and I haven’t read these books in a while. So I want to make sure I’m not forgetting anything important. Also, I read the second book while we were being bad bloggers, so I want to post a review for the second book.

Antonia – I’m currently reading The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan. This is the first book in his Heroes of Olympus series which I’m technically rereading. I read the first three books years ago but somehow during my move across the country lost the fourth book and only just replaced it.

What did you recently finish reading?

Amanda – I stayed up way too late last night to finish Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. This is a book my Aunt let me (forced me to) borrow because she really enjoyed reading it. I’m glad she pushed it on me, it was a super great book that made me feel a variety of emotions. Check out my review for this book here.

Antonia – I just finished reading The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie. I really enjoyed going a little outside my normal genres for this one. You can check out my review here.

What do you think you will read next?

Amanda – I sort of already answered this with the first question, but oh well. Next, I will be reading Shadowcaster by Cinda  Williams Chima. I’m currently reading the first, so barring any unforeseen circumstances, I will read the second book and then the third. Keep an eye out for my reviews!

Antonia – Next I plan to continue the Heroes of Olympus series though when I was organizing my shelves the other day, I found tons of books I want to read so I may get distracted.

What are you currently reading?

Amanda – I’m currently reading Crime of Magic by Linsey Hall. This is the second book in the Druid’s Books which are Ana’s story and I’m super excited to get to see more of her story.

Antonia – I’m currently reading Inferno by Julie Kagawa. Technically I’ve barely started it yet because work/life got in the way but I plan to get through a decent chunk of it today. I can’t wait to see how this series ends.

What did you recently finish reading?

Amanda – I recently finished reading The Girl Who Dared to Fight by Bella Forrest (you can read my review of The Girl Who Dared series here.)

Antonia – I just finished Legion by Julie Kagawa. It was amazing as all her books are. Check out my review here.

What do you think you will read next?

Amanda – Next I really have no idea what I’m going to read, so you guys will just have to keep your eyes open to see what I review next. I have too many options so it will really depend on what I’m in the mood for once I finish Crime of Magic.

Antonia – Next I’m planning on reading either the Shattered Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima or The Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan. They’ve both been on my TBR list, I’m just not sure which I’m in the mood for right now.

What are you currently reading?

Amanda – So I haven’t actually started it yet, but I’m going to count this as currently reading anyway. The Heart Forger by Rin Chupeco is sitting on my coffee table waiting for me to be finished with this post and my homework and the laundry and the many other things I should (but probably won’t) get done before I can let myself read.

Antonia – I’m currently reading Soldier by Julie Kagawa. Technically I’m only a few pages in but this is the first one of the series that I’m not rereading so I’m really excited to see where the story takes me.

What did you recently finish reading?

Amanda – I just finished reading The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco, (check out my review here.) I wasn’t crazy about it and I’m really hoping the second book is better and answers some of the questions The Bone Witch left me with.

Antonia – I just finished Rogue by Julie Kagawa. (See my review here.) This one was a really fun, action-packed read.

What do you think you will read next?

Amanda – This question has not gotten any easier for me the last few weeks. I just have so many options and have gotten so many new books in the last few weeks. I might reread the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard. I might reread the Snow Like Ashes series by Sara Raasch. I might reread the Talon series by Julia Kagawa. I might reread the Shattered Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima. But I really just am undecided, (but look at all the fun and awesome books you guys get to look forward to me reviewing!) Ask me again next week and maybe I’ll have decided.

Antonia – I’m pretty sure I’m going to stick with my Talon marathon and read Legion by Julie Kagawa the fourth book in the series.
