Hello, lovelies! I’m probably over reaching with even making a tbr for this month (for anyone new here, I’m moving this month!) but I’m going for it anyway. This is what I’ve come up with.
Hyped Book
The Ruin of Kings by Jenn Lyons
I’ve wanted to read this series forever. I own the first four boooks. I tried to start this via audio and had no idea what was going on. Then I tried the ebook, but there’s footnotes and I need to read books with footnotes physically.
New Release
Woman of Light by Kali Fajardo-Anstine
This is the last book I got from the subscription my mother-in-law gifted me for Christmas. It’s not something I’d usually pick up, which is why I picked it. I want to try new books now that I’m moving away from YA books a bit.
Science Fiction
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
I’ve wanted to reread this series pretty much since I finished it the first time. It’s on my tbr for my road trip audiobooks.
Romance
The Roughest Draft by Emily Wibberley & Austin Seigemund-Broka
I’ve been ‘picking this one up next’ for the last like four books. I really want to read it though, so here it is on my tbr.
Most Recent Purchase
Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel
I recently found a hardcover (the one with the cool design under the dustjacket) ono Pango Books. So, I have been thinking about listening to the audiobooks for this series again while on my road trip.
And I’ll share my NetGalley books being published this month, but I want to say that I’m giving myself permission to read whatever catches my attention this month. I will have enough stress without worrying about reading stressing me out.
The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon
Ben and Beatriz by Katalina Gamarra
Please Join Us by Catherine McKenzie
Three Kisses, One Midnight by Roshani Chokshi, Sandhya Menon, & Evelyn Skye
Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid
What are you reading this month?
Keep on reading lovelies, Amanda.
Hopefully your moving go super well! And ofcourse that you’ll be able to read a few things off your tbr xx Have a good august!
Thank you so much Kristina! We have arrived and unpacking is keeping us busy. Audiobooks have been a life saver!
