Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each week we talk about our top ten with a different topic provided by Jana. This week’s topic is a freebie so I browsed the old list of topics and I’ve decided to share 10 books on my owned TBR that I am intimidated by.

A Winter’s Promise by Christelle Dabos
Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb
The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N.K. Jemisin
The Ruin of Kings by Jenn Lyons
The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson
An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon
From Lukov With Love by Mariana Zapata
The Wolf of Oren-Yaro by K.S. Villoso
Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky
The Unbroken by C.L. Clark
Most of these are adult fantasy and I’m intimidated to start a bunch of new series that are adult fantasy. Most of these are also pretty thick books. Are there any books you own that you haven’t picked up because they’re intimidating?
Keep on reading lovelies, Amanda.
I candefinitely see why Assassin’s Apprentice, The Final Empire and Children of Time are on here, but I guarantee that they are all really good!
The Ruin of Kings is also intimidating for me!
I bought ‘I Know This Much is True’ by Wally Lamb at a used bookstore- I think it’s like 900 pages. I eventually gave it away because I figured I was never going to have the patience to read it all.
Oh wow. I would be intimidated by that too.
